Condition
Extremely fine and investment grade. Brls retain more than 90% of their original damascus pattern with some thinning at grip area and a couple of minor spots of toning. Forearm is excellent with original wood finish and a couple of minor handling marks. Exterior iron showing hints of original case color. Locks retain virtually all of their bold original case color with crisp engraving. Bottom of frame retains more than 80% of its lightly toning mousy gray original color. Engraving is crisp and sharp throughout. Screws show no wear. Fences, top lever, tang, and hammers retain nearly all of their beautiful original rainbow case color. Trigger guard retains about 60% of its original blue. Buttplate retains about 35% original blue with some very minor beginning oxidation at heel contact point. Buttstock is crisp and original with beautiful open pores and shows scattered light handling marks. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are near excellent only being a bit gummed up from 145 years of careful oiling and no use. An absolute gem Parker hammer gun. Easily the finest 5 frame Parker we have examined or had the privilege to offer for sale. ANTIQUE.
