Description: SN. 144537. Cal. .31. Built with 4" blued octagon brl. Brl stamped on top "ADDRESS SAML COLT/NEW YORK CITY". Casehardened loading lever stamped "9605". Casehardened frame with usual stamps. Period replacement 5 shot cylinder. Brass straps with matching numbers. Plain walnut grips.

Condition
Very good as period reassembled. Brl with about half of its toning original blue. Frame retains about half of its original rainbow color. Cylinder and loading lever non-matching as mentioned above. Brass polished long ago. Wood grips with an old coat of varnish. Bore is good with a patch or 2 of pitting. Mechanics in need of some attention as cylinder will not rotate. A much better than average looking Pre-war 1849. ANTIQUE.
