Description
SN. 241900. Made in 1940 on a 1-1/2 frame with 30” ventilated rib bbls, 2-3/4” chambers. Bbls with choke markings on flats, and grade, gauge, and chamber info on side of lug as well as unstruck bbl weight of 4lbs. 3oz. and bbl has proper reinforced forend lug. Beavertail forend checkered in diamond and point pattern with engraved Deeley release and proper reinforcing rod at muzzle end. Casehardened engraved action with Setter on left, Pointer on right, pheasants on bottom. American Walnut capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist with tear drop behind receiver and terminates with a modern black Old English pad. Gun made with auto ejectors, Parker SST, non-auto safety. WEIGHT: 7lbs. 11oz. Min. Wall Thickness: .025(Rt) .024(L). Bore Diameter: .732(Rt) .735(L). Bore Restriction: .034(Rt) .020(L). DAC: 1-3/4”. DAH: 2-1/8”. LOP: 14”.
Condition
CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain more than 95% original blue. Trigger guard retains about 1/2 of its original blue. Action retains about 1/2 of its original late Remington production case color with the top lever and small forend pieces having their proper cyanide color for this era of production. Stocks are sound and retain a great amount of what appears to be its original finish with some finish added for preservation and is now just a bit glossy. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. It is hard to find these highly optioned Parkers in this fine condition. C&R.
