SN. 22520. Made with 28” fluid steel bbls, 2-1/2” cham, 1 oz. nitro proof, narrow concave plain rib, small brass front bead and top of rib engraved “T. WILD 17-18 WHITTALL STREET BIRMINGHAM ''. Small ring of circular engraving at breech end. Bbl flats with proofs, bottom of tubes stamped “MADE IN ENGLAND AND SN”. Splintered forend checkered in point pattern with diamond escutcheon and Anson type push button release. Case Hardened boxlock action is scroll engraved and with “T. WILD” in banner on sides, blued trigger plate with light scroll engraving and trigger guard engraved to match on bow and has SN on tang. Top tang with gold inlaid SAFE in front of checkered safety slide. Double triggers, auto ejectors and auto safety. Sturdy English walnut buttstock checkered in point pattern through the wrist has semi-pistol grip and terminates with a modern black Decelerator pad. WEIGHT: 6lbs. 5oz. Min. ”. CONDITION: Very good to excellent as field used. Bbls retain more than 90% of what appears to be their original blue. Forend is in very good condition, checkered lightly thinned at carry point and retains most of an early period of use refresh. Action retains about 1/3 of its original color and trigger plate blue. Buttstock is excellent with scattered minor impressions and retains most of an older restored finish. Bores are mostly bright and shiny. Mechanics are sound and the gun is tight and on face. C&R.
