Description
SN. FWE141714. Made with 32" Crown Steel bbls, 2-3/4" chambers, that have low profile ventilated and matted top rib that have twin ivory beads. Top of right tube stamp "L.C. SMITH OLYMPIC TRAP". Bbl flats with SN and "O" grade designation. Large beaver tail forend with Schnabel tip checkered in point pattern and have elongated oval escutcheon with roll type release. Casehardened sidelock receiver with zig zag border engraving and burst of shaded scroll on side locks. Gun made with Hunter One SST, auto ejectors and non-auto safety. Blued long tang trigger guard with simple star on bow and zig zag border pattern. Straight grip walnut buttstock checkered in point pattern through the wrist and terminates with an aging Hawkin's brand ventilated pad. A fairly scarce gun with around 600 total produced in this grade. This one being among this nicest this cataloger has seen in the last 10+ years. WEIGHT: 7lbs. 15oz. Min. Condition
CONDITION: Excellent high original condition. Bbls retain about 95% of their original toning blue. Forearm is excellent and sound with about 90% of its original finish remaining and has an area or two of finish added for preservation. Original case colors are vibrant and rate around 90%+ with thinning on bottom at carry point. Trigger guard with about 80% of its original blue. Buttstock is excellent with more than 90% of its original finish and is mostly sound with a tiny beginning grain separation behind right lock. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are excellent. Gun shows limited use. C&R.
