Description
SN. 2241277. Made in 1956 with 20" round bbl that has adjustable rear sight and hooded ramp front sight. Bbl with usual makers name, caliber info on left side and proud original "WP" proof marks. Blued unengraved receiver with "WP" proof mark on top. Uncheckered stocks with butt having a diamond checkered steel buttplate. Blued lever trigger and hammer. Housed in what is undoubtably factory original serial numbered box with original brochure enclosed as well as a receipt dated April 29,1988 where Mr. Phillips purchased this exact Winchester from noted long time dealer William Drollinger. WEIGHT: 6lbs. 8oz.
Condition
CONDITION: Appears as new factory test fired only. Retaining virtually all of its beautiful original finished to wood and metal surfaces. There are a couple of very light impressions on the left side of the stock towards the butt and one on the right side towards the toe. Stocks with beautiful open pores. Bore is brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are fine with original cosmoline. Box is very good with tattering to edges to and corners, label is foxing and top of box with two punctures. We all hope to look this good at pushing 70 years old! C&R.
