Description
SN. 18817. Cal. 12ga. Made with 28” Winchester Proof Steel brls, 2-3/4” chambers, that have matted concave top rib with small white front bead. Brls with usual stampings on left side of chamber and small scroll bursts at breech ends of brls. Brls flats with SN and proof stamps and bottom of brl tubes with choke stamped “MOD/FULL”. Brls have been custom fitted with choke tubes. The beavertail forend is checkered in diamond pattern and has scroll engraved and blued roller type release and iron. The frame has been French gray custom finished and nicely scroll engraved by famed 20th century American engraver John Warren. The frame is engraved in about 40% scroll coverage which extends onto the blued top lever and trigger guard tang. Engraver’s signature is noted on right side of the trigger. Gun made with blued SST, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. The beautifully flame figured American walnut buttstock is checkered in 3 point pattern through the wrist, has straight English grip, and terminates with a black Decelerator brand pad. Gun is housed in an aluminum Americase with green suede interior. WEIGHT: 7lbs. 5oz. Min. Wall Thickness: .032(Both). Bore Diameter: .727(Both). Bore Restriction: Choke tubes installed. DAC: 1-3/8". Condition
Excellent as modified and lightly field used by Mr. Aiken. All surfaces retaining more than 97% of their custom finishes with only minor handling marks noted. Stocks are sound. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Case is excellent with only minor handling marks. C&R.
