Condition
Very good to excellent, as field used. Brls retain about 95% of their period of use factory restored blue. The left tube has some spotting and a number of very light minor nicks on muzzle towards left side and one very small ping which is hardly noticeable in the bore. Splinter forearm is excellent and sound and retains most of its original finish with some light wear. Blue on forend has been restored. Action with about 80% toning original case color. Trigger plate and trigger guard with nearly all of their professional restored finish. Buttstock is excellent and mostly sound retaining nearly all of an older restored finish with only minor impressions. There is a very tiny sliver missing on the top of the right cheek and a very tight beginning grain separation behind the top tang, which is almost invisible. Bores are bright and shiny mechanics are excellent. Case is very good to excellent with rubs and staining, partially relined. Leather appointments show some beginning drying. Overall, it is nearly impossible to source 3” proved vintage guns from the UK. C&R.
