Description
SN. GA13301. Cal. 12ga. Made with 26-3/4” brls, 2-3/4” chambers, that have plain slightly raised concave tip rib with small white front bead. Breech ends of brls with light engraving. Blued brl flats on the chopperlump brls with SN and proof marks. Splinter forearm checkered in point pattern with diamond at center, has lightly engraved Anson type push button release and iron. The coin finished hand detachable false sideplated boxlock receiver is very nicely engraved in rose and scroll pattern in about 80% coverage throughout. Bottom of frame with rose and scroll and makers name in banner towards front. Blued top lever. Blued trigger guard is nicely scroll engraved at bow and has SN at center of long tang. Gun made with double triggers (front trigger articulated), auto ejectors, auto safety. The straight grip buttstock with carved teardrops behind locks is checkered in point pattern through the wrist, has small silver oval towards toe and terminates with its original checkered butt. Condition
Very good to excellent as field used. Brls with more than 97% of their original blue. Buttstock and forearm are sound and retain about 95% of their original finish with only very minor impressions and handling marks noted. Bores should clean to excellent but with some stubborn fowling noted. Hints of beginning orange peel. Mechanics are fine. MODERN.
