Description
Stamped on brl H. Shultz, Percussion, hair trigger, striped maple full stock, 56” OA, 40” Rifled octagonal brl, .41cal. Incised carving. German silver oval at the tang and silver star on the cheekside. Very little is known about Henry Shultz, other than his consistent listing in Boyd’s Business Directory for the mid-1860 period.
Condition
Forward of the first ramrod pipe a small piece of the stock has been restored. Sporadic rough varnish areas. Trigger guard may be a replacement. The lock is not cocking. ANTIQUE.
