Description
SN. 96838C. Cal. .22LR. Made in 1956 with 24" round brl that has ramp hooded front sight. Left side of brl towards breech with usual maker's legend. Stocks with ebony forend tip, sling mounts, blued steel capped pistol grip, and small cheek piece on left side. Stock is checkered in diamond pattern on sides at grip with 3 diamonds on bottom and in 2 point pattern at the wrist. Buttstock terminates with its original blued checkered steel butt. Gun is mounted with a Leupold Vari-X 3x9 compact scope. WEIGHT: 7lbs. 13oz. LOP: 13-5/8".
Condition
Extremely fine. Brl and receiver retain nearly all of their factory original finishes. Trigger guard and trigger plate with virtually all of their factory blue. Bolt handle hows some thinning, Stock is excellent to near mint with nearly all of its factory original finish and showing only just a hint of thinning at high point of cheek piece. Buttplate with more than 97% of its original blue. Action is a bit gummy from years of comfortable rest in Mr. Aikin's gun room. Scope optics are clear. A very crisp Model 52C Sporter! C&R.
