Condition
Excellent for this type and model. Brls with more than 75% of their original pattern remaining with minor dark brown oxidation spots scattered about. One ping noted about 3” from the muzzle on the bottom of the left tube which should be repaired. Forearm with very good checkering and original finish, has a chip missing at the center of the iron and has several minor impressions and handling marks elsewhere. Locks with virtually all of their beautiful original case color. Frame with more than 85% of its fine original rainbow case color beginning to tone at carry point. Trigger guard retains more than 75% of its original blue. Buttstock is excellent and sound with scattered impressions and handling marks and retains about 90% of its original finish. There is a small surface loss at toe of buttplate and on side, otherwise sound. Bores are mostly bright and shiny with some stubborn fowling. Mechanics are excellent. Top lever far right of center. These guns were available at the cost of $19 when new and were purchased by people of lesser means and often used very hard to help put food on the table. They are almost never found in collectible condition like this gun. C&R.
