Condition
Very good for this vintage model. Brls with about 90% of their original damascus pattern. There are couple of very small areas of beginning light oxidation towards muzzles. Forearm is very good with scattered handling marks and impressions, there is a small sliver repair on the left side of the forend towards the tip which measures about 1-1/4" in length. Frame and locks with strong traces of original case color. Buttstock is very good and sound and retains most of an ancient restored finish with subsequent minor handling marks. Bores with orange peel throughout and evidence of an old repaired dent or two. Top lever snaps with authority and gun is tight and on face. Mechanics are very good. A very nice example of an early Syracuse made Smith. ANTIQUE.
